2017-2018: The third time Adam Moundir has been named to the VaSID All-State Singles First Team. He was the ITA Atlantic Region Senior Player of the Year. Moundir, a two-time Conference USA Player of the Year, was previously named to the All-Conference USA Singles First Team and All-Conference USA Doubles Second Team. He compiled an 18-13 season record, went 14-7 in dual matches in No. 1 singles and had two ranked wins. He went 4-0 against Conference USA opponents and entered the NCAA Tournament on an eight-match winning streak. Moundir and Javier Jover Maestre went 8-5 on the season and 1-0 at the Conference USA Tournament. The two took down Columbia’s No. 44 nationally ranked tandem, 6-1. Prep: Adam Moundir begins his freshman season at Old Dominion University after growing up in Luzern, Switzerland... Before college, Moundir achieved a personal-best ATP Ranking of 1595... At one point, he was nationally ranked No. 38 of all men in Switzerland... The 6'3” right-hander was a finalist for the Swiss Championship (Under-18)... Moundir has also been a finalist in two of ITF's singles tournaments, as well as won one ITF tournament in doubles.
Personal: Abdelghafour and Natalie Moundir are the proud parents of Adam... Adam has one brother, Yanis, and one sister, Sarah... Following graduation, Adam has aspirations of playing professional tennis. Major is undecided.
