NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion women’s tennis will challenge Florida Atlantic in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, the NCAA announced Monday.

The Monarchs travel to Durham, North Carolina on Friday with Duke hosting the region as an eight seed. ODU takes on the Owls at 1 p.m. The Blue Devils compete against Bryant at 4 p.m.

ODU is coming off of its fifth consecutive conference championship, where the team bested Marshall 4-1 on Sunday afternoon. The Monarchs are 19-4 overall, which included two wins over P4 opponents, a ranked win against Princeton, and two different seven-game win streaks.

ODU is one of 25 teams making its sixth-straight NCAA tournament appearance.
